Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Planning and Contract Manager to join our team at Spring Venture Group. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of tax compliance, strategic tax planning, and contract management activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and Review Complex Tax Returns: Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
  • Research and Interpret Tax Laws: Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop Tax Planning Strategies: Proactively develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial efficiency.
  • Consult with Tax Advisors: Consult with external tax advisors and auditors to address inquiries and resolve complex tax issues.
  • Prepare Tax Provisions: Prepare detailed tax provisions and estimates for shareholders, providing accurate financial projections.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Tax Legislation: Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, proactively assessing their impact on the company.
  • Review Contracts: Review contracts with healthcare carriers to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and analyze the financial implications.
  • Manage Contract Transactions: Serve as the primary accounting representative for contract management, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of contract transactions.
  • Negotiate with Vendors: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with vendors and other parties, maximizing value and minimizing risk.
  • Develop Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, fostering collaboration and resolving issues promptly.
  • Implement Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with contract management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax and accounting expertise for various projects and initiatives.
  • Improve Processes: Develop and implement process improvements to streamline tax compliance and contract management activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or Equivalent: CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in tax preparation or compliance, tax planning, and/or contract management.
  • Knowledge of Tax Laws: In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Microsoft Office: Advanced understanding and application of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.
  • Financial Analysis: Strong accounting and financial analysis expertise and fluency in analyzing data.
  • Initiative and Collaboration: Ability to define problems and make recommendations which support the strategic direction of the organization, ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, demonstrated ability to take initiative and work collaboratively and independently.
  • Communication and Presentation: Solid verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Workday ERP System Experience: Workday ERP system experience.
  • CPA with Big 4 Experience: CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • Senior Healthcare Industry Experience: Previous work experience in senior healthcare industry.
