About the Role

Virtua Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide therapeutic group and individual activities to promote patient engagement and recovery.
  • Offer emotional support and behavioral redirection to patients, working closely with the RN to implement interventions from the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
  • Conduct vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a PCT or in a Behavioral Health setting, or a graduate with a four-year psych degree.
  • Experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required.
