Psychiatric Technician, Part-Time, 2nd Shift, Mental Health Unit, Virtua Willingboro

As a Mental Health Professional with Virtua, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of psychiatric patients in our Mental Health Unit. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will provide therapeutic group and individual activities, emotional support, and behavioral redirection to patients in need.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safety of patients by implementing applicable policies and procedures while rounding on patients and the unit.
- Provide therapeutic group and individual activities to promote patient engagement and well-being.
- Offer emotional support and behavioral redirection to patients, implementing interventions from the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
- Complete necessary physical care, including vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing, as assigned.
- At least 1 year of experience working as a Psychiatric Technician or in a Behavioral Health setting, or a graduate with a four-year degree in Psychology.
- Experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology is preferred.
- BLS certification is required.
