Psychiatric Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our mental health unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Provide therapeutic group and individual activities to promote patient engagement and recovery.
- Offer emotional support and behavioral redirection to patients, working closely with our RN team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
- BLS certification.
