Psychiatric Technician

Job Summary:
Virtua, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety under the direction of the RN.
- Provide therapeutic group and individual activities to promote patient engagement and recovery.
- Offer emotional support and behavioral redirection to patients, utilizing interventions from the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
- Complete necessary physical care, including vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing, as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a PCT or in a Behavioral Health setting, or a graduate with a four-year psych degree.
- Experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is preferred.
- HS Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology preferred.
- BLS certification required.
