About the Role:

Apple Vision Pro represents a groundbreaking advancement in spatial computing, seamlessly integrating digital experiences with the physical world.

This technology empowers us to engage in our passions in unprecedented ways while maintaining connections with those around us.

We are seeking a seasoned and technically adept Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead the charge in product definition, system engineering, and integration/validation for a novel product category.

If you possess extensive experience across essential hardware components (such as displays, cameras, sensors, and wearables), a strong focus on product and customer needs, and a proven track record of guiding intricate programs through the development lifecycle, we invite you to connect with us.

Key Responsibilities:

As a System Integration EPM, your role will involve close collaboration with system engineering, electrical, mechanical, algorithm, and software teams within VPG and across the organization to define and develop highly optimized hardware solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Leading the cross-functional development of requirements and validation plans at the product, system, and module levels, informed by performance targets and technological constraints.

2. Identifying critical inquiries and coordinating teams to efficiently derive answers. 3. Understanding the relationship between technical decisions and customer experiences, and communicating impacts clearly and effectively. 4. Addressing architectural and integration challenges to inform subsequent engineering iterations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Comprehensive understanding of consumer electronics system architectures.

• Proven ability to navigate system-level development trade-offs. • Established skills in planning and executing development for advanced consumer electronics products, including prototype builds and overall product strategies. • Strong technical foundation in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering. • A minimum of 5 years of relevant hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics. • At least 3 years of project management experience overseeing cross-functional teams throughout various program phases (architecture, integration, validation). • Proactive, self-motivated, with strong critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by rapid development cycles and constant change. • Willingness to travel internationally to support development initiatives. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with camera systems, display technologies, optics, and/or wearable consumer electronics.

• Proven experience in leading diverse cross-functional teams to achieve optimal product solutions. • Experience as the primary liaison with vendors and contract manufacturers to establish daily build plans and provide clear direction to meet program objectives.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is just one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range.

This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role.
