Job Title: Global Safety Surveillance Director

Novo Nordisk is seeking a highly skilled Global Safety Surveillance Director to lead our safety surveillance sub-function within the U.S. East Coast Development Hub. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies and deliverables for assigned programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety strategies and deliverables for assigned programs
  • Contribute to the development of safety strategy and safety deliverables for assigned programs
  • Oversee daily operations of the function by directing staff and adhering to company-wide policies, procedures, and programs
  • Manage organizational design, structure, development, training, and planning issues within sub-function
  • Provide input to preparation of Development Safety Update Reports (DSURs), periodic SUSAR reports, Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs), and Risk Management Plans (RMPs)
  • Respond to requests from HAs and internally from NN affiliates and HQ functions
  • Chairmanship/membership of the NN cross-functional safety committees
Requirements:
  • MD or PhD or equivalent degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or a life sciences/pharmacy nursing degree with 15+ years' experience in global safety surveillance and/or clinical/drug development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
