Job Summary

The Emergency Services Manager RN Evenings is responsible for overseeing the daily function and staffing of the emergency department. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through monitoring and evaluating the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
  • Participate in providing patient-specific care standards as directed.
  • Follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
  • Operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to standards of care.
  • Support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
  • Ensure a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
  • Support the achievement of internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments.
  • Ensure staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
