Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at CSL. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our donors and ensuring a smooth and efficient pheresis process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process and monitor the donor and the process, responding to specific alarms or signals that may occur.
  • Disconnect the donor when the process is complete and maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction the donor may have during or after the process.
  • Use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents that occur during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and alarms, volume variances, and donor adverse events.
  • Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor using the PDA.
  • Alert the Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues and ensure the accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
  • Promote safety in all actions and maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and be frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. The ability to work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs is also required.
