Job Summary

The Loudoun County Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking highly skilled professionals to fill two Management Analyst III positions focused on operating, capital, and grant budgets. As a key member of the Budget Section, you will play a critical role in developing, preparing, and implementing budgets, as well as monitoring departmental expenses and resolving discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement budgets for operating and capital asset preservation programs
  • Monitor departmental expenses and account reconciliations
  • Resolve discrepancies and approve purchases
  • Prepare budget adjustments and performance measure reports
  • Manage grant-related activities, including reviewing pre- and post-award grant applications
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and three years of related work experience in government operating or capital budgeting and planning. Prior grant experience is preferred, but not required. You will also need strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
