Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities, provide emotional support, and ensure their overall well-being.
- Treatment Setup and Operation: Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring accurate and timely treatment delivery.
- Lab Testing and Specimen Collection: Collect and prepare lab samples for testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of supplies and equipment, ensuring seamless treatment delivery.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; PCT national certification or state-specific certification preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
