As a Patient Care Technician at Providence Health & Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing basic nursing care, collecting and reporting information, and completing patient care-related documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
- Collect and report information to the supervising RN, including patient vital signs, medication administration records, and other relevant data.
- Complete patient care-related documentation, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documents.
- Assist with patient transfers, including lifting, moving, and positioning patients as needed.
- Participate in patient education, including providing information to patients and families about their care and treatment.
- Completion of a CNA program, or completion of the first semester of a nursing program, or completion of an EMT program.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- Experience with basic data entry.
- Preferred qualifications include EKG training and 1 year of acute patient care experience or 6 months of experience in a direct patient care environment.
