Patient Care Technician Float Pool Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Float Pool team at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide basic nursing care to in-patients and out-patients, while also providing clerical support to the nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign collection and documentation
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Perform clerical duties, such as data entry and charting
- Collect and report information to the supervising RN
- Complete patient care-related documentation
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Completion of a CNA program, or completion of the first semester of a nursing program, or EMT program completion
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
- Experience with basic data entry
We also prefer candidates with:
- Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course, or knowledge of medical terminology
- 1 year of acute patient care experience, or 6 months of experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support related to provider, patient documentation or charting
