Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience from arrival to departure. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Greeting and Seating: Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
  • Table Management: Efficiently manage table assignments, ensuring a smooth flow of guests and minimizing wait times.
  • Drink Service: Provide exceptional drink service, ensuring guests receive their beverages promptly and with a smile.
  • Chair and Table Setup: Pull out chairs and tables to make it easier for guests to sit down, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
  • Phone and Guest Communication: Answer phone calls promptly and politely, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service, sharing knowledge and expertise to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Proof of Eligibility to Work: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, but not necessarily for this role.
  • 18+ Years of Age: You must be at least 18 years old to apply for this role.
  • Minimum of One Year of Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a related role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Opentable: Familiarity with Opentable is a plus, but not required.
  • Proper Lifting Techniques: You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
  • Guest Relations: Excellent guest relations skills are essential for this role.
  • Sanitation and Safety: You must be able to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Safe Alcohol Service: You must be able to serve alcohol safely and responsibly.
  • Full Service Restaurant Operations: Experience in full-service restaurant operations is preferred.
  • Ability to Communicate Effectively: You must be able to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
