Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will operate independently with minimal oversight to assist the entire Commercial Banking Team by managing client interactions and preparing necessary documentation. You will ensure adherence to regulatory standards and uphold the bank's service excellence. A comprehensive understanding of various loan types and related requirements is essential, along with the ability to exercise discretion and act independently to fulfill those requirements. You will gather, analyze, and assess information to provide informed recommendations. It is crucial to ensure that all documentation required for loan processing is collected.
Essential Duties:
- Represent the bank positively and professionally in all interactions, whether in person, via phone, or through email.
- Manage the loan portfolio and provide administrative support to the Commercial Banking Team, including various managerial roles.
- Assess the needs of commercial clients and determine appropriate solutions for service inquiries and account openings.
- Coordinate with clients, title companies, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for loan processing.
- Maintain organized electronic files by accurately labeling and storing loan documents and client data.
- Act as a liaison between clients and all parties involved in the loan process, ensuring clear communication regarding documentation and loan status.
- Proactively engage with commercial clients to confirm satisfactory resolutions and proper setup of new accounts.
- Contribute to the Commercial Team's success by supporting new business development efforts through research and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to address loan delinquencies and complete assigned projects.
- Monitor financial covenants and borrowing bases in partnership with Commercial Relationship Managers.
- Process loan requests and disburse funds as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in managing and preparing loan documentation for complex commercial loans.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Some college or technical training, along with prior commercial banking experience, is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory and legal aspects of complex personal and commercial loans.
- Familiarity with loan regulations such as RESPA and HMDA.
- Ability to work autonomously to resolve issues and complete intricate loan transactions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of the bank's loan policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient in MS Office and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
