The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain active surveillance of the pool area to ensure the safety of all individuals.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, adhering to YMCA policies and procedures.
- Perform equipment checks and ensure that all necessary equipment is available and in good working condition.
- Assist with chemical testing and take appropriate action as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certifications and stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
- Current YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
