Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory and Asset Manager IV to oversee asset management operations and maintain property inventory records. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating reports, conducting periodic inventory reviews, and training staff on inventory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversees asset management operations and maintains property inventory records.
• Generates reports reflecting items on hand.
• Conducts periodic inventory reviews and trains staff on inventory procedures.
• Responsible for coordinating and overseeing warehouse operations.
• Ensures an efficient system of asset management and control.
• Recommends improvements to asset management processes.
• Locates surplus items and conducts investigations on lost property.
• Disposes of surplus property.
• Prepares purchase requisitions for restocking inventory and verifies receipt of inventory or shipments.
• Monitors inventory and stock control records following loss prevention and agency guidelines.
• Responsible for fleet management.
• Supervises the work of others.
• Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Serves as a member of the Regional Disaster Deployment Team in delivering, setting up, and monitoring emergency equipment to areas designated by supervisor.
• Able to work in various environments outside and inside.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy.
2. Oversees asset management operations and maintains property inventory records.
3. Processes appropriate inventory forms as needed for transfer of assets, lost or stolen assets, and surplus, obsolete, or damaged property.
4. Coordinates the activities necessary to perform at least quarterly spot checks and annual physical inventory of tagged assets.
5. Trains and provides guidance throughout the process to ensure that inventory activities are carried out in accordance with regional guidelines and the Asset Management policy and procedures.
6. Maintains a current and accurate inventory of the Region's physical inventory to ensure that there are adequate quantities on hand to respond to requests from Enterprise customers.
7. Quantities that exceed needed levels should be disposed of in accordance with the Asset Management policy and procedures.
8. Conducts assessment to confirm that items meet the criteria for salvage/destruction.
9. Coordinates disposal of the salvage/obsolete items in accordance with the Asset Management policies and procedures.
10. Responsible for entry and reviewing fleet report system as well as monitoring and maintaining state vehicles to ensure that they meet the proper standards for operation both mechanically and cosmetically.
11. Work involves coordinating and overseeing warehouse operations or serving as back-up to the Regional Warehouse Coordinator.
12. Ensures an efficient system of property management and control and recommends improvement as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of inventory and receiving procedures.
• Knowledge of standard warehouse procedures including safety.
• Skill in the use of standard agency computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skill in organizing and prioritizing workload.
• Skill in managing multiple priorities.
• Skill in training and coordinating the work of others.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, staff, peers, management, and external contacts.

• Ability to prepare concise reports.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles including cargo panel truck and van and pull a trailer in accordance with local, State, and Federal traffic regulations.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate warehousing equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, dolly, etc.
• Ability to travel locally and across the state which may include overnight stays.
