Job Summary

This role involves the breakdown and preparation of incoming shipments to optimize the receiving process. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in opening and processing daily incoming shipments from various vendors
  • Review notes on POs and bids to determine special instructions for breakdown or receiving staff
  • Determine the value and condition of items, noting any changes
  • Sort like items by condition, manufacturer, and part number into bins for receiving
  • Scrap items of no value during sort and photograph them
  • Research sales history and approve part numbers, pricing, and descriptions as needed
  • Test items where required and label bins with proper information
  • Disassemble units as directed and process completed items through proper routing procedures
  • Assist in maintaining the log of submitted items for Pre-Eval and pulling un-received items for sales orders
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical school or equivalent preferred
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work at a fast pace
  • Computer literate and good communication skills, verbal and written
Work Environment

This is an hourly position with a full-time schedule from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Employees are expected to come to work on time and adhere to accepted time-off policies. The work environment is a plant and inventory setting with a casual but professional dress code.
