Environmental Technician Driver

GrayMar Environmental Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the transportation of non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials via multiple vehicle types, including Roll-Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, and Air Movers. The Environmental Technician Driver will also perform tasks under the direct guidance of a supervisor, including non-emergency and emergency response activities involving confined space entry, such as manholes, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, and shoveling.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Adhere and document all transportation compliance requirements, including inspection reports, mileage logs, trip reports, etc.
- Predominantly anticipated local driving, with some out-of-town travel required.
- Ability to load and unload loads.
- Capability to operate light and heavy equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers, and other equipment.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Perform labor-intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift.
- Work in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, not limited to forklifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, skid steers, excavators, pressure washers, pumps, and other company work vehicles.
- Attend mandatory training to earn certifications and obtain information specific to responsibilities.
- Ensure all proper paperwork is signed and submitted.
- Work on-call based on the rotating on-call schedule for emergency response, with some out-of-town travel required.
- Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Class A CDL.
- Two years minimum driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Operation of multiple vehicle types, such as Roll-Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, and Air Movers, preferred.

- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen, and Alcohol testing.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening.
- Must be able to successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and other mandatory trainings.
- Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods, overnight, and be on-call basis.
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record.
- 6 months construction or general labor experience.
- Must be able to withstand exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
- Must be able to perform physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to wear PPE.
- Must be able to work under adverse conditions (heat & cold).
