The Parts Counter Trainee will interact directly with customers at the parts counter and via phone, ensuring their needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a solid understanding of all product lines that the company manages and distributes, along with the applications for those components.
  • Familiarity with various roles and responsibilities within the Parts Department.
  • Proficient in the Parts computer system and other relevant information systems.
  • Maintain and prepare all necessary records and documentation for the tasks performed; knowledgeable about all company policies and procedures related to parts transactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, and may be responsible for ordering and expediting parts as needed.
  • Initiate customer outreach to enhance product sales and foster customer relationships.
  • Adhere to factory training requirements.
  • Be prepared to assist with other Parts Department duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience (2 years).
  • Strong product knowledge, along with good administrative and inventory management skills.
  • Proven customer service abilities, including two years of experience in a parts department, focusing on inside parts sales.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Experience with Paragon software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS400 software is advantageous.
  • Outstanding customer service skills are essential.
Accountabilities:
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with direct customer interactions as required.
  • Capable of operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
