About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at MGM Resorts International. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen team and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop the kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Manage food orders and inventory to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that orders are fulfilled efficiently.
  • Ensure that all food is properly labeled and stored to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard, including sauces, stocks, and soups.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to set goals and objectives for the kitchen team and to ensure that they are met.
  • Manage the kitchen schedule and ensure that all staff are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant production environment.
  • At least 2 years of culinary management experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with scheduling.
  • Knowledge of fast casual, batch cooking, fine dining, and quick service.
