The Sous Chef Role

The Sous Chef is a key member of our culinary team, supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and leading the team to achieve business goals. This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, as well as the ability to be flexible with scheduling and understand budgeting and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure high food quality and consistency
  • Manage food orders and inventory to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Ensure proper food labeling and storage to maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
  • Prepare essential sauces, stocks, and soups to support menu offerings
  • Communicate effectively with management and service staff to handle guest requests and resolve issues
  • Assist with kitchen supplies and inventory management to maintain a well-stocked kitchen
  • Help set kitchen goals and objectives to improve profits, food quality, and staff performance
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant production environment
  • At least 2 years of culinary management experience
  • Knowledge of fast casual and quick service operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to be flexible with scheduling
  • Understanding of budgeting and cost control
  • Skilled in culinary techniques and menu creation
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to actively engage in the development and growth of others
