This position is hosted by Jobot. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our financial team as a Financial Controller. This role is essential in overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Financial Controller, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing financial reports, including statements and budget analyses.
  2. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial documentation.
  3. Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  4. Reconciling account balances and bank statements while maintaining the general ledger.
  5. Documenting business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  6. Assisting in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  7. Providing support during the annual audit process.
  8. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and creating relevant financial reports.
  9. Ensuring compliance with all governmental reporting requirements and tax obligations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is advantageous.
  2. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar financial role.
  3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  4. Experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  6. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  8. Proven experience managing month-end closing processes and account reconciliations.
  9. Experience in providing audit support and collaborating with auditors.
  10. A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process enhancements.
