Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Community Medical Center. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of cytology testing, working closely with our laboratory team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cytology testing and analysis, ensuring high-quality results and accurate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of laboratory staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university and successful completion of the Cytotechnology program from an accredited institution.
  • Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) is required.
  • Three (3) years professional experience as cytotechnologist in an accredited hospital laboratory.
  • Must meet CLIA requirements for Technical Cytology.
  • Ability to work independently with sufficient knowledge of all aspects of the Cytology department.
  • Must have strong mental and visual concentration.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication.
