We are seeking a part time Cytotechnologist to join our Laboratory team at Broadway building.

Schedule - variable hours, no weekends or nights

This position:

  • Performs microscopic examination of cytologic specimens, assessing cell characteristics utilizing standardized nomenclature.
  • Prepares tissues and other samples for staining using histological and cytological techniques.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing special equipment and microscopes.
  • Use lab computer for entering results and maintains records in accordance with CLIA.
  • Performs adequate quality control to ensure optimal patient care and to ensure CLIA QC requirements are met.
  • Maintains detailed records of specimens received, billing, and tissue/cytology results.
  • Works independently and with team members.
  • May perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned by management.
Must work 20+ hours per week for benefit eligibility

Minimum Requirements:
  • Certification with ASCP
  • Qualified as a cytotechnologist per CLIA regulation (42CFR493.1483)
  • Minimum one year clinical internship or clinical training

The successful candidate will be subject to a background check
