Laboratory Cytotechnologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Cytotechnologist to join our team at Community Medical Center. As a Laboratory Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of cytology laboratory results.

• Assure that all quality control, proficiency testing, and maintenance are well-performed and evaluated.
• Ensure that policies and procedures are current and well-executed.
• Monitor turnaround time and ensure that it is satisfactory.
• Organize and maintain accurate records systems.
• Implement quality improvement mechanisms.
• Monitor test analyses and train students.

• Baccalaureate degree or higher from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Successful completion of the Cytotechnology program from an accredited institution.
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) is required.
• Three (3) years professional experience as cytotechnologist in an accredited hospital laboratory.
• Must meet CLIA requirements for Technical Cytology.
• Ability to work independently with sufficient knowledge of all aspects of the Cytology department.
• Strong mental and visual concentration.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on communication.
