Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Benefit Solutions Strategy will act as a key thought leader and strategist, focusing on pivotal deals to enhance our success rate while effectively expanding the Commercial division.

As a vital member of a newly formed team, this role will contribute to establishing standards, tools, and defining roles and responsibilities tailored to business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a principal strategist for deals, collaborating with Sales and Consultant Relations to assess client needs, propose optimal solutions, and implement customized growth and retention strategies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on product offerings, analytics, network quality, technical integrations, and industry insights for both Commercial teams and potential clients.
  • Provide tailored recommendations based on best practices in plan design, ecosystem integrations, and targeted marketing strategies.
  • Support growth and retention initiatives by offering expertise throughout the sales and renewal processes, ensuring comprehensive discovery is conducted.
  • Facilitate collaboration among internal stakeholders to support deal execution, including presentations, product demonstrations, and RFP responses.
  • Work internally to address complex client requirements across various teams including Product, Network, Analytics, and Client Success.
  • Bridge the gap between the sales process and ongoing client success to ensure commitments made in proposals are fulfilled.
  • Analyze and respond to custom RFP inquiries, creating standardized responses based on field-tested insights.
  • Share insights and trends from client interactions with cross-functional leadership to enhance product offerings and market strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience in consulting or customer-facing roles within health and benefits, or equivalent experience as a Solutions Consultant/Architect in digital health.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization.
  • In-depth understanding of self-funded medical plans and the dynamics between health plans, third-party administrators, and plan sponsors.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment; organized, adaptable, and self-driven.
  • Passionate about the mission of EmployerDirect Healthcare and committed to teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medical claims data to forecast savings and program impacts.
  • Knowledge of the ecosystem of point solutions and healthcare disruptors targeting self-funded employers.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging product demonstrations that articulate value to all stakeholders.
  • Adept at designing solutions for non-standard employer requests through collaboration.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and influencing decision-making.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and contributing to the broader Commercial team processes.
  • Experience in a growth-stage business environment.
