Job Title: Application Engineer

Job Summary:
G-TECH Services is seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and release of restraints components and systems for new and current vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, validate, and release automotive systems, subsystems, and components for assigned programs.
  • Monitor the development of interior trim for vehicles according to company-specific benchmarks.
  • Design parts to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering Worldwide Customers Requirements, Engineering Specifications, and Systems Design specifications as well as Manufacturing and Assembly requirements.
  • Translate customer, regulatory, and product requirements into engineering targets.
  • Monitor suppliers and analyze customer feedback through systems.
  • Responsible for incorporation of new designs and engineering changes at the Assembly Plant and leading discussions with involved parties including suppliers.
  • Support suppliers and assembly departments with current production quality and manufacturing issues.
  • Support production part approval processes (PPAP) for mass production.

Requirements:
  • Good program management skills with the ability to manage a number of assignments simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Significant problem-solving skills previously demonstrated.
  • CAD/CAE capable.

Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience working as a design and release Engineer (Restraints experience desired).

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
