Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will:

  • Act as the project leader for real estate ventures, managing projects that range from 10,000 to 50,000 square feet, with budgets reaching up to $2 million.
  • Provide oversight and direction to project teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage the design and construction processes for projects awarded under the IRS Facilities Management and Security Services internal Leasing Program.
  • Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), addressing lease-related issues and ensuring adherence to lease provisions.
  • Coordinate background investigations to meet compliance requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and update the project control system for all assigned space projects.
  • Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver on-the-job instruction to junior specialists and project managers based on review findings.
Qualifications

Requirements: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Nationals and provide proof of citizenship. A thorough background investigation will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

Specialized Experience: Applicants should possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, including:

  • Knowledge of support services programs, project management techniques, and facilities management functions.
  • Experience in preparing work plans and schedules, monitoring project status, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using technical drawing applications such as AutoCAD for space design.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with senior leadership and stakeholders.

This position requires a commitment to excellence in project management and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures to achieve objectives.
