In this role, you will report directly to the Superintendent and will be tasked with supervising crews, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, managing resources, monitoring team performance, and fostering customer relationships to implement best practices for efficiency and safety.

Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating and planning work/projects for assigned teams to ensure timely execution
  • Oversee daily crew operations including payroll validation, pre-marking, Dig Safe procedures, stock ordering, pipe deliveries, asphalt cuttings or grinding, and coordinating with police details as necessary
  • Collaborate with utilities, team members, and municipal officials to ensure clear communication and management of project details
  • Support the monitoring of safety, quality, and production standards, addressing any issues promptly to uphold company practices
  • Review Operations and Maintenance (O&M) procedures with teams to reinforce compliance with company protocols
  • Conduct training sessions and toolbox talks to enhance team skills and safety awareness
  • Track and assess team performance and daily timesheets, ensuring incident reports are accurate and timely for any workplace injuries or property damage
  • Verify the accuracy and clarity of foremen's reports, assisting office staff in ensuring precise invoicing
  • Manage change orders as needed, in consultation with customer representatives
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant construction
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrated success in managing a team, mentoring, and training new employees
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and commitment to crew safety

Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a combination of office and field settings, including warehouses and construction sites
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and stay late with little or no notice
  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within office, warehouse, and construction site environments
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required

  • Satisfactory results from pre-employment background checks
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
