Job Summary

The Business Office Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid billing. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable, following up with inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enters invoices for accounts payable and checks invoices for accuracy.
  • Manages admissions and insurance data into the billing system.
  • Develops daily census reports and provides updates to facility personnel.
  • Compiles monthly aging reports to determine write-off amounts.
  • Billing of private pay patients and handling family questions regarding billing.
  • Performs Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing on a monthly basis.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
