Job Summary:

M&H Valve Company is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient assembly of valves and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members.
  • Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and use proper lifting and ergo techniques.
  • Read work orders and follow detailed job-specific instructions to ensure efficient assembly and meet customer specifications.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and inspect parts as they are assembled.
  • Tend machines to perform fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
  • Apply hand tools and air tools throughout the shift.
  • Work in various workstations as dictated by production requirements.
  • Work with the team to reduce or eliminate bottlenecks and reach team goals.
  • Notify supervisors of production errors or equipment malfunctions.
  • Clear equipment at the end of the operating run and review the schedule to determine the next assignment.
  • Record problems that occurred, such as downtime, root causes, and actions taken.
  • Meet or exceed hourly production rates every hour.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the production area.
  • Proactively promote The McWane Way Principles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
