Job Title: Commissioning Engineer 2

At M.C. Dean, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer 2 to join our team. As a Commissioning Engineer 2, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced Commissioning specialists in coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables.
  • Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets.
  • Perform routine electrical calculations.
  • Assist in reviewing supplier documentation for compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize the electrical engineering website to access department guides and standards.
  • Apply basic knowledge of Commissioning, inspection, and testing of electrical components and systems.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with basic electrical engineering theories and power system concepts.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Windows, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, Infralink, Revit, and Primavera (P6).
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT/FE) certification.
  • Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  • National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) or equivalent certification.
Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites periodically.
