Land Development Civil Project Manager Job Description

Adam Search Group is partnering with a reputable company in the Columbus, Ohio area to hire a Land Development Civil Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial, residential, mixed-use, or municipal land development projects, ensuring the successful planning, design, and execution of these projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Design: Lead the planning and design phases of land development projects, conduct feasibility studies and site assessments, and collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop project plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, obtain necessary permits and approvals for land development projects, and stay updated on zoning laws and land use regulations.
  • Budgeting, Cost Management, Contract Management: Develop project budgets and timelines, monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budget, identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality, negotiate and manage contracts with consultants, contractors, and suppliers, review and approve project invoices and payments, and monitor contractor performance and adherence to project specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to team members, foster a collaborative and positive project team environment.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, provide regular project updates and address client concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proven experience in land development and civil engineering project management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting processes.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
