Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and implement efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure labor control, inbound/outbound metrics, and inventory levels, and ensure that these metrics are met or exceeded.
  • Physical Condition: Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment are properly maintained to prevent damage and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Financial Management: Effectively manage the budget and profit and loss (P&L) of the operation to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Customer Relations: Partner with customers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing consistent communication and following up on customer concerns and requests.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop warehouse staff; manage schedules and workflow to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Assign duties and monitor quality of work; assure staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of management experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Logistics or Transportation or ten years equivalent work experience.
  • Skills: High proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with labor/workforce management and warehouse management systems (i.e. SAP, Red Prairie, Manhattan, JDA, etc.); Lean certifications preferred.
