Senior Lighting Artist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lighting Artist to join our R&D team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating immersive lighting experiences for our AAA open-world game project.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lighting solutions for game world environments, ensuring a seamless player experience;
- Collaborate with level, mission, and narrative designers to achieve a cohesive visual narrative;
- Work closely with the Cinematic Director to create stunning lighting effects for cutscenes;
- Develop and maintain lighting tools and pipelines to streamline processes;
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members on lighting techniques and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in lighting for AAA games;
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality lighting assets in a fast-paced game development environment;
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 and 3D software, particularly Lumen in UE5;
- Deep understanding of lighting principles, including color, source, brightness, and shadow;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
