Position Title: Communications Agent
Department: Communications

Role Summary: The Communications Agent plays a crucial role in orchestrating and implementing a range of communication initiatives to facilitate effective internal and external dialogue for the organization. This position entails collaboration with diverse departments, crafting compelling messages, overseeing digital platforms, and contributing to the overarching communication strategy. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, a solid grasp of social media dynamics, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Internal Communication:

  • Design and disseminate internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and updates for staff.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to ensure uniform messaging and information flow.
  • Oversee internal communication platforms, such as intranet systems and email lists.

External Communication:

  • Compose and circulate press releases, media advisories, and other public-facing communications.
  • Address media inquiries and coordinate interviews, statements, and public relations efforts.
  • Foster relationships with external media entities and stakeholders.

Digital and Social Media Management:

  • Develop, curate, and oversee content for social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Monitor social media platforms and engage with followers to enhance the organization's online visibility.
  • Evaluate social media performance metrics and refine strategies to boost engagement and outreach.

Crisis Communication:

  • Support the formulation and execution of crisis communication strategies.
  • Serve as a liaison during crises, ensuring precise and timely information is relayed to all relevant parties.

Event Support:

  • Offer communication assistance for organizational events, including drafting promotional content and managing event-related communications.
  • Help coordinate press conferences, webinars, and other public engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
