The Foundation is seeking a skilled Communications and Website Specialist to drive their social media and public relations initiatives. If you're passionate about creating engaging content and developing effective communication strategies, this role is an excellent fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement external communications functions, including media relations, social media engagement, and content creation
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Alliance website
  • Coordinate Alliance activities and key vendor relationships
  • Design and implement social media and marketing strategies to support Alliance growth and retention objectives
  • Ensure effective communication through design and content on the Alliance website
  • Generate positive visibility and awareness through proactive ideas and initiatives
  • Participate in Alliance team meetings and prepare press releases as needed
  • Distill complex information and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Maintain the Alliance website and digital presence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Journalism, Public Relations, Research, Clinical Trials, or Oncology media
  • Strong website development and maintenance skills
  • Extensive social media experience and innovation

Preferred Skills:

  • 3-4 years of PR, Media, or Communications experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of social media channels and websites
  • Understanding of healthcare industry issues and trends
