About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced F-35 Flight Instructor Pilot to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As an F-35 Flight Instructor Pilot, you will be responsible for providing academic training to pilots through Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW). You will also provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS), operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS), and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all pilot training courseware updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic training to pilots through EML and ICW
  • Provide instruction using FMS and operate IOS
  • Serve as SME for all pilot training courseware updates
  • Work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives
  • Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems
  • Operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision devices, EO/IR targeting systems, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest air-to-surface and air-to-air weapons inventory
  • Prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training
  • Experience in an environment which required interaction with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature
  • Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral and written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction
  • Active secret clearance with investigation within 5 years and required to obtain Special Access Program approval
Desired Skills
  • Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF/USN/USMC IP with multi-role fighter experience
  • Former Weapon School, Top Gun, or MAWTS graduate desired
  • Fourth/Fifth generation Full Mission Simulator (FMS) experience as an operator and/or instructor
  • F-35 flight experience is highly desired
  • Minimum of 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft
