We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team as an Inpatient Dietitian. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop care plans for patients, working closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement nutrition care plans and monitor patient progress
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Develop and implement nutrition support plans for patients with special needs
- Document patient progress and outcomes in the medical record
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition required
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required
- Licensure in the State of Connecticut required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in an inpatient setting
- Knowledge of nutrition support and parenteral nutrition
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
