About the Role

RiseBoro Community Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of our residential properties, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction for our tenants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with tenants, providing professional and timely support to resolve their questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate with leasing managers to ensure timely completion and collection of lease renewals, and follow up with tenants on arrears 30 days past due.
  • Oversee building operations, including budget management, invoice approval, and rent collection in older-adult buildings.
  • Assign work to maintenance staff, ensuring all code violations and repair concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Perform move-in and move-out walk-through apartment inspections with tenants, and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure vacant units are ready for occupancy within 30 days of vacancy.
  • Identify tenancy issues that may require legal referral and coordinate with the Legal Department.
  • Maintain open communication with management and compliance team during operational emergencies, and be available to address emergencies outside of typical business hours as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in property management, with a strong understanding of affordable housing management principles.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with varying levels of staff members.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to successfully manage multiple relationships.
  • LIHTC certification required within six months of hire, with Certified Housing Assistant Manager preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with intermediate to advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
