Position Overview:
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM
  • On-Call Requirements: 1 call shift per week
  • Weekend On-Call: 1 shift every 6 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of the Operating Room Coordinator and OR Director, the RN will manage nursing activities related to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for non-licensed staff.
  • Provide care for adult patients, including geriatric and some pediatric populations.
  • Utilize a criteria-based performance evaluation to ensure age-specific competency in care delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current nursing license in Texas.
  • Current CPR, ACLS certification; PALS preferred.
Experience Requirements:
  • Preferred minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient in nursing skills relevant to the operating room, with an understanding of the developmental needs of diverse patient populations.
