Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Medical City Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff in the operative setting. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the operative setting, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to non-licensed nursing staff, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical nursing.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical nursing, preferably in an operating room setting.
