About the Role:
Meadow Gold, a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continued operation of our production assets, including electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and optimize production processes.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Experience with a variety of equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise volume.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
