Adjunct Communication Instructor

Qualifications
A Master’s Degree is required, accompanied by a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the field of Communication.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. or MFA is preferred, along with 18 graduate hours in Communication. Candidates with a proven track record of teaching experience at the collegiate level and familiarity with quality standards for online education will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
As an adjunct faculty member, you will be tasked with delivering a range of undergraduate Communication courses, tailored to meet enrollment demands and departmental requirements. Course delivery may occur in various formats, including asynchronous, synchronous, or hybrid, as determined by departmental guidelines.
Your teaching responsibilities will encompass courses within the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, including but not limited to: Introduction to Mass Communication, Fundamentals of Communication, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication. Experience in online instruction and proficiency with learning management systems (such as Blackboard) is highly desirable.
Compensation
For faculty holding a Master’s degree (unless it is a terminal degree), compensation is set at $850 per credit hour ($2,550 per 3 SCH), with an additional stipend of $500 for classes with an enrollment of 20 students or more.
For faculty with a Ph.D. or terminal degree, compensation is $900 per credit hour ($2,700 per 3 SCH), along with a $500 stipend for classes with an enrollment of 20 students or more.
