Job Title:

Dual Credit Lecturer or Adjunct Instructor in Government

Job Summary:

InsideHigherEd is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor or Dual Credit Lecturer in Government to teach online, synchronous courses to dual credit students. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Government or a related field, with 18 graduate hours in Government, and classroom teaching experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach online, synchronous courses at various days and times
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Government or a related field with 18 graduate hours in Government
  • Classroom teaching experience
  • Ability to teach online, synchronous courses
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PHD in Government or a related field
  • Prior University teaching experience
  • Dual-credit teaching experience
  • Blackboard experience
