Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) at Williamson Health provides comprehensive nursing care in the oncology department, coordinating and implementing patient care with a commitment to compassionate service. This role involves assessing patient conditions, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and health standards.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Document accurately and timely.
- Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire.
