Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare food items ahead of time as requested, ensuring accurate estimates and minimizing waste.
* Return all unused food items to designated storage areas, properly dating and covering perishables.
* Assist in setting up plans to correct food cost problems, controlling food waste and usage according to standards.
* Date all food containers and rotate them according to food standards, ensuring proper temperatures for perishables.
* Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line setup, noting any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
* Receive and unpack items as they arrive from food vendors, dating them and packing according to department standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 18+ years old
* High level of professionalism
* High school diploma/GED preferred
* Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
* Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license required
* Minimum of Two (2) years restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
* Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
