As the Coffee Shop Operations Lead at Kaizen Lab Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our café while providing exceptional support to our barista team.

While prior knowledge of our specific systems is not mandatory, a genuine commitment to the success and growth of your colleagues and the café team is essential. Candidates lacking emotional intelligence or openness to feedback need not apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Café Manager to lead a team of approximately 10-15 retail staff, including Shift Leads and Baristas.
- Oversee and engage in our culture management processes, focusing on individual support and development.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive workplace, enhancing employee satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members to promote ongoing mentorship and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the overall culture and growth of the business by utilizing our Culture Guide for self-reflection and commitment to personal and team development.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the café and across departments.- Serve as a leader within the café and represent Kaizen Lab Inc. in the community.
- Provide timely and constructive performance reviews to support the growth of baristas.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that all café employees are equipped to deliver exceptional experiences.- Work with training staff to uphold café standards and ensure effective training programs.
- Develop café staff to enhance their knowledge and customer service skills.
- Ensure the café operates profitably and sustainably, contributing to the overall success of Kaizen Lab Inc.- Manage operational tasks, including inventory and financial transactions, to support profitability.
- Set realistic and ambitious goals aligned with the café's objectives and Kaizen Lab Inc.'s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of experience in food service.
- A personable individual with high emotional intelligence, patience, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teaching skills, capable of inspiring professional growth.
- A genuine passion for coffee.
- Proficiency in technology, including Google Drive and spreadsheets.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular attendance and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods are essential. Candidates should be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds and interact with customers consistently.
