Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our Retail Team at The Salvation Army. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team of Sales Associates: Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Operate the Retail Store: Ensure the efficient operation of the retail store, including managing inventory, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Manage Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, resolve customer complaints, and ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Process Transactions: Accurately process transactions, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Maintain Store Appearance: Ensure the store is maintained in a clean and organized manner, including restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Manage Inventory: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including receiving and processing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Communicate with Management: Communicate effectively with management, including reporting sales data, inventory levels, and any issues or concerns.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in training and development programs, and contributing to the success of the organization.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, including supervisory experience, is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication, are required.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including handling multiple tasks and priorities, is required.
  • Ability to Lift 50 Pounds: The ability to lift 50 pounds is required.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
